Metoder

Glossary is a collection of terms that are used in the project 'Benefit for Regions', with their definitions, descriptions and characteristics, which give a thorough understanding of the meaning of these terms in the context of this project.

What is this step for?

I have
→ And what now?

Re-evaluate the situation and the success of the solution. Check the efficiency, make monitoring, has my problem really been solved

Consider

> Has the solution solved my problem?
> How close to the optimal solution have I gone?
> How big is the gap? Is the gap acceptable?

WHAT ARE ITS COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES?

I have
→ And what now?

Put the solution into reality.

Consider

> How can I put the solution into reality?
> Who can help to finalise the project?
> What is the best way to build the solution?

What are its communication challenges?

Communication of the solution

Sharing knowledge, information and becoming a bridging organization

As your project is finalized and its solutions put in place, it provides an opportunity for another kind of communication; your project and project partners can become a source of information for others, and help bridge the gaps between different professional cultures.

WHAT IS THIS STEP FOR?
I have
→ And what now?

Formulation of the end version of the solution.

Consider

> Which legally acceptable solution I can afford is the best for my problem?

WHAT ARE ITS COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES?

Sourcing information and navigating the Scientific Cultural and Language barrier:

Finding the information you need can be challenging and it is likely that during this step you will need to consult scientific information. There are a range of communication problems relating to scientific information as well as scientists themselves. Sourcing good, relevant scientific information is essential to any project.

WHAT IS THIS STEP FOR?
I have
→ And what now?

• Who has to give a grant or else?

WHAT ARE ITS COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES?

Navigating Policy and legislation: the gap between legalities and practical implementation:

When undergoing your project there are various legal frameworks and regulations to abide by, this varies depending on the nature of your project, and identifying and complying with these is a challenge in itself. Much like the scientific cultural and language barrier outlined in step 3, there is a gap between the policy making and administrative community and other stakeholder groups.

WHAT IS THIS STEP FOR?
I have
→ And what now?
Develop the very solution for the very problem.
Consider
• How can I contribute to the solution?
• Which steps / technologies are needed to solve the problem?

WHAT ARE ITS COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES?

Consider the Relationships between participating stakeholders

Within this step Collaboration and cooperation as well as respect and mutual trust are of the utmost importance, all stakeholders must work together to develop a solution which meets the needs of all stakeholders.

WHAT IS THIS STEP FOR?
I have identified the data I require and may have found already existing solutions that are related to my topic.
→ And what now?
Find the difference between wanted and existing situation, see which aspects cannot be dealt with by using existing solutions.
Consider
• Which gap is left between the recent situation and the wanted future situation?

WHAT ARE ITS COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES?

Consider the Relationships between participating stakeholders

Now that the project is in process, it provides the opportunity to consider the relationships between all the stakeholders involved in the project. Possible contention between stakeholders should be identified and addressed as soon as possible within the project process.
Strong relationships between stakeholders based on mutual respect and trust are key to the success of a project.

WHAT IS THIS STEP FOR?
I have found useful data and information related to my project
→ And what now?
Identify comparable solutions and check if there exist already solutions or fractional suggestions for your project.
Consider
• Are there already solutions for my problem or a comparable problem?
• Who can inform me about solutions?
• Who has already dealt with the same aspect?

WHAT ARE ITS COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES?

Who knows about possible solutions? Who can help me to formulate my project target?
