WFA is the economic development agency for the Municipality of Plön. Since more than 20 years we advise in the context of business start-ups, management succession, investments, crises and turnround. To strengthen the regional development the WFA runs a trade and technology centre and offers a great know-how in regards to the economic empowerment of rural areas.
Sønderborg Municipality has several years of experience in cross-border cooperation and international projects. Among other things. in the cultural area between Sønderborg and Schleswig - most recently in the cultural region "Sønderjylland-Schlesvig".
Benefit4Regions is about rural development, and here Sønderborg municipality is the leader in the country due to good organization and communication between:

The University of Southern Denmark welcomed the first students onto the campus in Odense in September 1966, and things have been developing by leaps and bounds ever since. We now have five faculties with more than 32,000 students, almost 15% of whom are from abroad, and more than 4,000 employees distributed across our main campus in Odense and regional campuses in Slagelse, Kolding, Esbjerg and Sønderborg. The State Agency for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas of the German Federal State Schleswig-Holstein (LLUR) has the statutory role as a state agency at the German regional level and has an integrative responsibly for Agriculture, Fishery, Water, Nature Conservation and Forest, Geology and Soil, Technical Environment Protection and Rural Development. It is the subordinate agency to the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Energy, Agriculture, the Environment, Nature and Digitization. The Agency is in charge of implementing the policies of the Ministry.
The Rural Council is a non-profit, party-political, neutral interest organization - a Non-Government Organization (NGO) - for nationwide associations and organizations that can support our mission.
The Rural Council's mission is to be a practical expert in gathering, sharing and communicating knowledge and experience for the benefit of rural and peripheral areas.

The Municipality of Plön (ca. 129.000 Citizens, 470 Employee at Municipality of Plön) deals with various challenges associated with demographic change as part of the free tasks. In the context of Benefit4Regions, particular mention should be made of the topics of mobility, climate protection and digitalization.
We are a business council with about 385 member companies, from companies with just one person up to companies with 2500 employees. We guide both start-ups and established companies in one-to-one guidances and network meeting with 10-20 participants.
We participate in local and national political issues within the business area e.g. establishment of a motorway to Kalundborg as it means a lot for our transport companies.
Kiel University of Applied Sciences is the largest university of applied sciences in Schleswig-Holstein, with more than 7,800 students and the second largest university in the state. The central location is the Dietrichsdorf district of the state capital of Kiel, and the field of external agriculture is located in Osterrönfeld near Rendsburg. Due to its size and broad range of subjects, the Kiel University of Applied Sciences has an outstanding, transregional significance. It is the only fully-fledged university in the country in terms of study opportunities.
Die Akademie für Raumforschung und Landesplanung (ARL), Leibniz-Forum für Raumwissenschaften, ist eine selbständige und unabhängige raumwissenschaftliche Einrichtung öffentlichen Rechts von überregionaler Bedeutung und gesamtstaatlichem wissenschaftspolitischem Interesse. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 1946 versteht sich die ARL als Forum und Kompetenzzentrum für die Erforschung räumlicher Strukturen und Entwicklungen, ihrer Ursachen und Wirkungen sowie ihrer politisch-planerischen Steuerungsmöglichkeiten.
